The Week That Started Whispering

Some weeks arrive loudly, this one didn’t! It felt quieter than that. Almost as though something was shifting in the background, not ready to make a scene, but no longer willing to stay hidden either. If you were rushing, you might not have noticed it. I...

This Is How My Books Are Made

People often assume these are simply collections of nature photographs. They’re not. They’re the result of a decision I very nearly didn’t make. In November 2021, a friend asked if I would take on a daily nature photo challenge for 365 days. My first reaction was,...

Don’t Wait for the Sunshine

Everyone’s talking about the weather. Too grey, too wet and too gloomy! It’s almost as if we’re collectively waiting for permission from the sky before we allow ourselves to enjoy being outside, but here’s the thing. If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll miss...

Time to Talk: Why Walking and Talking Often Go Hand in Hand

Time to Talk Day takes place on Thursday 5th February, highlighted each year by Mind. It’s a gentle reminder of something many of us already know, but don’t always give ourselves permission to do. Talking matters. Not in a dramatic, problem-solving way every time....

Winter colour in the flowerbeds

This really is a fantastic time of year. It might still feel like winter has its feet firmly under the table, but if you slow down and actually look at the borders, there’s a lot going on. New growth is quietly popping up everywhere now, often when you...

Late January – Winter Details Worth Slowing Down For

The wander for today was a short one nothing dramatic, no big views or epic miles, just a gentle stroll while visiting my Sister, Brother In Law and Niece. And yet, as so often happens, it proved that you don’t need to go far at all to find something worth stopping...

New Year’s Inspirations

New Year’s Inspirations I almost called this New Year’s Resolutions… but that felt a bit heavy and bossy. New Year’s Inspirations sounds much gentler, and that’s exactly what I’m hoping this will be – a few friendly nudges to help you step outside, explore a little,...

My Top 10 Favourite 2025 Photos

Top 10 Favourites of 2025 Choosing a Top 10 from 365 daily photos was always going to be tricky. Some days the light was perfect, other days it was a quick grab between showers, and quite often it was a case of “I didn’t expect to see that today.” After a lot of...

Christmas Holiday Mindfulness

Christmas Holiday Mindfulness Christmas can be a lovely time, but it can also feel quite heavy for many of us. Lots of people together, busy days, changed routines and not much quiet space can all add up. When we spend long periods indoors, it’s very easy to feel...

There’s Still So Much To See

There’s Still So Much to See You may feel like you just want to stay in at this time of year — the weather can be dreary, the light a bit flat, and the sofa far too convincing. I get it. But if you’re able to get out, even briefly and even often, it really does do you...

The Signs Are There

The Signs Are There If you’re looking for direction as we head into winter, don’t worry — I’ll point you the right way. Quite literally, in fact. This month’s photo features a fine old signpost, standing proud at a crossroads on the moors, bravely doing its best to...

SAD and how getting out to see nature can help

I am deeply proud that what began as a personal commitment has become something that inspires and cheers others. And the best part? It’s accessible to anyone. You don’t need an expensive camera or far-flung travels to experience the same benefits. All you need is curiosity, a willingness to pause, and maybe a smartphone in your pocket.

Where the book idea all began

The joy I get from taking these photos is more than matched by the joy of knowing they make a difference.

pAckaging

Please note I will be sending books out from home and I am keen to reuse any packaging, so that deliveries can be a bit more sustainable. Apologies in advance if you wonder why your parcel may be in a 2nd hand wrapping.

Thank you.

Opening Hours

Because my book business isn’t my main focus for work and is hopefully a way of making a bit of extra money for my charities, any messages and orders I receive may get to me at funny times, so please be patient.

I will get back to you as soon as I can.
