Following a public poll, the Fly Agaric photograph emerged as the winner of the Book 3 cover poll and became the official cover of the book.

The other four finalists attracted plenty of support too, so all five cover versions are now available. Each contains exactly the same photographs and content, with only the cover image differing between editions.

Whichever photograph was your favourite, you can choose that cover version below.

In case you were wondering, the fly agaric was the winning cover choice.

This morning’s walk got me thinking. Everywhere you look right now, things are bursting into life.Buds opening, leaves unfolding, that fresh spring green starting to take over. But how often do we actually stop and look at them properly? So today, I did exactly that....

Ten Days of Wings

As I’ve started pulling together photos for my Year 3 book, I came across a run from last July that I’d completely forgotten about. What started as just another day with the camera quickly turned into something else… ten straight days of moths, butterflies and...

March Is Waking Up

If you are waiting for spring to properly arrive before heading outside, you might already be missing it. March rarely makes a big announcement. It just quietly gets on with things. Buds begin to open, flowers appear where yesterday there were none, and suddenly the...

This Is How My Books Are Made

People often assume these are simply collections of nature photographs. They’re not. They’re the result of a decision I very nearly didn’t make. In November 2021, a friend asked if I would take on a daily nature photo challenge for 365 days. My first reaction was,...

Winter colour in the flowerbeds

This really is a fantastic time of year. It might still feel like winter has its feet firmly under the table, but if you slow down and actually look at the borders, there’s a lot going on. New growth is quietly popping up everywhere now, often when you...
