Welcome to Ian’s Biz Pals – Here’s How It Works

One thing I’d like to make clear from the start is that Ian’s Biz Pals isn’t another social media platform or another attempt to pull people away from the communities they already enjoy.

In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

It’s an independent discussion forum, not owned or hosted by any social media platform. It exists because social media is brilliant for meeting people, making connections and starting conversations, but those conversations can quickly disappear into the timeline.

My hope is that Ian’s Biz Pals complements social media rather than competes with it.

It’s somewhere small business owners can ask questions, share ideas, discuss challenges and celebrate successes, knowing those conversations will still be there for someone else to find next week, next month or even next year.

Because it’s a forum rather than a scheduled chat, it’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you have a question first thing in the morning, during a lunch break or late in the evening, you can post whenever it suits you and return whenever you have time.

Whether you run a business on your own, have a growing team or are just getting started, you’re very welcome here.

There are no membership fees, no advertising and no hidden agenda. I’m not trying to replace social media or build the next big online community. I simply wanted to create somewhere independent where business owners can support one another, learn from each other and continue conversations that might otherwise be lost.

There is no pressure to post every day. Read, ask, answer or simply browse whenever you like. Every contribution helps create a growing resource that others can benefit from too.

Social media is excellent at bringing people together.

My hope is that Ian’s Biz Pals gives those conversations somewhere they can continue.

I hope you’ll come and join us.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

If Ian’s Biz Pals sounds like something you’d find useful, I’d love to welcome you. If not, that’s absolutely fine too. The forum will always be there if you ever need it.
